Once a fisherman nets a big fish that looks very peculiar. He
decides to give it as a gift to the King instead of selling it to someone. He
comes to the court of the King and in the presence of the queen and other
senior members; he presents his valuable gift to the King. Looking at the
peculiar fish the King is pleased and orders his men to give the fisherman 2000
gold coins as a gift. The fisherman is very happy but the
queen was not pleased about it. She hits upon a plan to deny the
fisherman of his gift.
The queen asks the fisherman whether the fish is male or female.
She thinks if the fisherman says male she can tell him that the King like only
female fish and if he says female she can tell the King likes only male fish.
With a smile on his face the fisherman says the fish is neither male nor female
but belongs to a third gender. The King likes his clever answer and orders his
men to give another 2000 gold coins to the fisherman.
At this stage the queen is furious
and wants to take revenge on the fisherman. While collecting the second set of
gold coins happily, a gold coin from his bag slips and rolls over to the other
side. The fisherman jumps at it and picks it up and was about to go when the
queen gets her chance at him. The queen asks the fisherman why he is so miserly
running for that one gold coin when he already got 3999 gold coins. To this the
fisherman says that they are not just ordinary gold coins but a treasure since
the face of the King is imprinted on them and so he can not afford to miss even
one.
The King is very happy for fisherman's answer and asks his men to give another 2000 gold coins. At this stage the
queen understands her mistake and keeps quite and allows the fisherman to go
with 6000 gold coins.
Communication is the most important
route to success. We should know how to communicate for success. The basic
blueprint for success / failure is embedded in our subconscious mind. We need
to communicate with it very carefully; in the way it understands for us to get whatever we want. If we give a wrong command to our subconscious, like the
queen in the story we end up paying a very heavy price.
